Setting up Salesforce Multi-Factor Authenticator

​​IT Instruction Video to assist with setting up Salesforce MFA​

Steps:

You'll need your mobile device on hand to complete these steps to setup Salesforce MFA.
  • Using your personal mobile device, whether that be an iPhone or Android, open the app store and look up Salesforce Authenticator and download it.

  • Open the app, allowing notifications.
Notifications must be allowed.
  • Select Skip Tour. 
  • Select Add an Account.
  • A random Two-Word Phrase should be present on your mobile device.
Note this random Two-Word phrase, as you'll be using it to verify your device.
  • On your Mac, you’ll open Salesforce. 
  • Select the Profile icon on the top right corner and select Settings.
  • Select Advanced User Details.
  • Select Connect for the App Registration: Salesforce Authenticator.
  • It emailed a Verification Code, copy and verify the code.
  • Input the Two-Word Phrase, including the space between words, select Connect.
  • Now, on your mobile device, select Connect.
  • Moving back to your Mac, you’ll sign out of the Salesforce browser.
  • Then sign in, selecting your username.
  • On your device, you’ll Approve the login.
