Complete a Phone Step

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to complete a phone step within a cadence. This is the step in a cadence that tells you to make a phone call.

Intended Audience

This is for any customer facing person who wants to make calls to prospects and customers and also wants to log the activity in Salesforce.

  1. Open Salesforce
  2. Navigate to your respective app
  3. Go to the home page and open your work queue in the upper right of the page.
  4. Click the phone icon next to the persons name, followed by the number, to open log a call
  5. Choose the call result
  6. Choose an activity code
  7. Type in any necessary comments.
  8. Ensure the contact is selected under “Name”
  9. Under “Related To”
    1. Decide if you want to log this to an account, opportunity, etc
    2. Choose the record type
    3. Search for the record
  10. Click Save
