Performance Review (Managers)

There’s planning that needs happen before performance reviews start and the key steps we recommend to take:

  • Make sure the employee’s job description is up-to-date
  • Clarify key job functions
  • Revisit performance expectations
  • Revisit goals and/or objectives
Edit Company Review Template
  1. Log into Paycor. Click People. Click Performance Insights.
  1. Click Reviews.
  1. Click Question Templates. Under GLOBAL QUESTION TEMPLATES, select Employee - Self Review (test). Click Make a Copy.
  1. Do not change the title from "Employee - Self Review". Enter your department within the parenthesis. For example: Employee - Self Review (Customer Success)
  2. Complete the following to create your question:
  • Enter question or topic by typing in the "Enter a question or topic" section.
  • Enter an optional description to describe the question.
  • Choose answer type:
    • Opinion scale
    • Yes/No
    • Number scale
    • Multiple choice
    • Text: free text
  • Check the boxes next to Required for the Employee, Manager, or select both checkboxes for the question to be required for the Manager and Employee.
  1. Please do not delete any questions that you did not add to the template.
Launch the Review
  1. When you complete your Performance Review template, click Overview under Reviews. Click Launch new review.
  1. Complete the following fields to launch the review.
