How Do I Configure An Extra Free Months Promotion Quote?
Configuring A Promotion Quote With Extra Free Months
To configure a quote that includes additional free months of license usage follow the steps below.
- In the Quote Information section enter a one (1) year term for the quote. The Start Date should be the actual date the End User will begin.
- Do not enter any discounts in the Discount group.
- Add your group line(s) and products for the quote.
- Do not add any additional group or line item discounts, or date changes within the group line(s)

- After all Group(s) and Products have been added, copy the Quote Total amount at the bottom of the quote
For example: If an additional $25 Demo discount is needed. Subtract $25 from the calculated quote total amount of $19,215. ($19,215-$25= $19,190) Enter the new quote total ($19,190) into the Customer Target Amount field- step 6 below.
You should also indicate in the Notes section that the additional discount has been included.
- Paste the Quote Total amount into the Customer Target Amount field.
- Change the quote's End Date to add the additional free months for the Promotion.
The Target Customer Amount locks to the price of the one-year term contract.
The Target Customer Amount discount is auto-calculated on each product line to match the one-year Target Price
- Update the Notes field to include a message about the Promotion that will be printed on the Quote document
- Review and Save your results.
- Generate the Quote Document.
