Sending a Template

Purpose

The purpose of this article is to learn what a template is and how to send a template in an email.

This is for anyone who wants to save time and send pre built and populated emails to customers and prospects.

What is a template

Email templates let you quickly send emails that include field data from Salesforce records like contacts, leads, or opportunities. You can use email templates when emailing groups of people—with list email or mass email—or just one person.

  1. Open Gmail
  2. Open email from customer
  3. Click reply
  4. Open Inbox
  5. Under compose tab click Email Templates
  6. Search for or select a template from the list
  7. When the template is selected you can also relate it to an account, opportunity, etc
  8. Click Insert
  9. Verify email is correct
  10. Click send
