Key Fields & Terms for Salesforce for Progress Learning & Horizon Education

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of significant fields & terms that should be known or referenced within Salesforce.

Account Fields

  • ACV of All Purchased Subscriptions:
    • For a district account, it will show the ACV for the entire district regardless if they were purchased at the school or district level
    • For a school account, it will show the ACV for the entire school regardless if they were purchased at the school or district level
  • ACV of District Purchased Subscriptions:
    • For a district account, it will show the ACV of all subscriptions in the district that are purchased by the district
    • For a school account, it will show the ACV of all subscriptions the district has purchased for the school account
  • ACV of School Purchased Subscriptions:
    • For a district account, it will show the ACV of all subscriptions in the district that are purchased by schools
    • For a school account, it will show the ACV of all subscriptions the school has purchased for itself
  • PL Customer Status: Customer status specific to Progress Learning Subscriptions
  • HE Customer Status: Customer status specific to Horizon Education Subscriptions
  • Account Tier: Puts an active account into one of 3 tiers; Basic, Managed, Enterprise
    • Basic has an ACV of less than $6250
    • Managed has an ACV between $6250 and $40000
    • Enterprise has an ACV of $40000 and above

Opportunity Fields

  • Amount: Standard Salesforce field that shows total value of all products summed up on an opportunity
  • Expected Revenue: Amount weighted for probability of stage
  • New Sales Amount: ACV or the Amount if opportunity is less than 12 months
  • Weighted New Sales Amount: New Sales Amount weighted for probability of stage
  • ACV: The annualized value of an opportunity
  • Weighted ACV: ACV weighted for probability of stage
  • TCV: This is redundant with Amount, but helpful for report building
  • Prior Contract ACV: ACV from the contract that is being renewed

Key Terms

  • Annual Contract Value (ACV) or Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR): The value of our accounts at an annualized (12 Month) value.
    • If the contract's term is less than 12 months, the value will be greater than the total amount of the subscriptions/contracts
    • If the contract's terms is more than 12 months, the value will be less than the total amount of the subscriptions/contracts
