Atlas Permissions

Purpose

  • This document serves to support using Atlas, Progress Learning’s Agentforce agent, and the necessary steps to use.
    Notes
  • To use Atlas, a Salesforce (SF) account is needed.
    • These accounts should be provided by Sales Ops/IT upon start day for Full-Time Employee (FTE) and Part-Time Employees (PTE).
    • Contractors are not given access, unless permission is granted by Sales Ops team & direct Manager
    • Accounts are of two types:
      • Standard Salesforce user with full SF platform access
      • Identity users with minimal access to SF platform
  • Multi-Factor Authentication is required for ALL Salesforce User accounts per our Terms of Service with Salesforce

Steps to follow

  1. Which type of user is required:
    1. Standard Salesforce User
    2. Identity User (go to step B)

A) Standard Salesforce User

  1. Sales Ops must provide permissions to access Atlas’s permissions (including but not limited to Agentforce, Data Space, flows, etc.)
  2. In Slack, confirm account connection in Slack Preferences
    1. Connected accounts should show with green check on Connected section to USATestprep Salesforce Organization
    2. If your Slack connection looks different, submit a helpdesk request and partner with Sales Ops to troubleshoot
  3. To access Atlas, click on the search bar in the top of the Slack window/browser page and search for Atlas
  4. Once selected, Agents will show in the left sidebar (typically at the bottom of the left sidebar) and either choose one of the curated questions provided or provide your own statement or question

B) Identity User

  1. Sales Ops will need to create a new account for Salesforce for you
  2. In Gmail, you should have a new user email asking for you to complete your sign up & in process
    1. Salesforce requires MFA, as a company we use Salesforce provided MFA app by following these instructions
  3. Once signed into Salesforce with MFA setup you will head into Slack
  4. In Slack, confirm account connection in Slack Preferences
    1. Connected accounts should show with green check on Connected section to USATestprep Salesforce Organization
    2. If your Slack connection looks different, submit a helpdesk request and partner with Sales Ops to troubleshoot
  5. To access Atlas, click on the search bar in the top of the Slack window/browser page and search for Atlas
  6. Once selected, Agents will show in the left sidebar (typically at the bottom of the left sidebar) and either choose one of the prompts provided or provide your own statement or question
